JACL Scholarship
Each year, both JACL Cleveland, and the Cleveland Japanese American Foundation award scholarships for college to deserving graduating high school seniors of Japanese descent. In 2023, scholarships were awarded by both the Cleveland chapter of JACL as well as Cleveland Japanese American Foundation. Amounts may vary each year.
These scholarships are “no strings attached” in that the money can be used in any way to help with the many expenses of college.
JACL Cleveland and the Cleveland Japanese American Foundation awarded scholarships at the Community Picnic on Sunday August 6, 2023 at Furnace Run Shelter Akron MetroParks in Richfield Ohio. We honor all high school graduates of Japanese descent.

The committee will not consider incomplete applications. Referral letters can be sent directly from your counselor or advisor to Bill Sadataki at sadataki@aol.com or the mailing address below. Transcripts can also be sent directly via email but must be received by May 1.
